🔗 Share this article Vehicles in German Town Discovered Smeared with Nazi Symbols in Blood, Law Enforcement Report Local Law Enforcement Officers mentioned they were alerted by a man who found a vehicle in Hanau smeared with reddish fluid Around fifty vehicles have been smeared with what appears to be human blood in the Germany's municipality of Hanau close to Frankfurt, according to law enforcement. Vehicles, walls and mailboxes were defaced, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they reported in a release. Police state they were contacted in the late hours on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a vehicle in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish substance. The fluid had been placed in the form of a Nazi symbol, they added. Law enforcement then found multiple other vandalized vehicles and building exteriors in the nearby vicinity. Swastikas are illegal in Germany under laws outlawing the public exhibition of Nazi-era symbols. Police say early analysis show the liquid was most likely human blood. "Currently there is no lead as to its source; officials are not yet informed of any physical harm in connection with the event," they stated. Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to resolve the case" and have asked to the community for details. A high-ranking political figure commented the vandalism made him without words and needed to be resolved rapidly. "This event hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing violent incident five years ago," he wrote on social media, referring to the murder of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on residents of foreign heritage in five years prior.
